About Jelena Sparica

I was born in Belgrade, Serbia with a love of art and nature already in my blood. Throughout my childhood and teenage travels, I found myself inspired to paint and draw the world around me. In 1991, I moved to the beautiful city of Vancouver, Canada with my family, where, living near the ocean, surrounded by scenic views on all sides, I was able to indulge my passions and start capturing the beauty around me. 

Not surprisingly, you'll find many of my paintings are inspired by nature and places I've been that have left a lasting impression on me. Although I'm always experimenting with different techniques, the majority of my pieces are acrylics or water colours. I love traveling and observing nature, different cultures and people, and when inspiration strikes, I pick up the brushes and get my hands messy! 

Aside from painting, you can find me working on my other passion projects - handmade crafts and decor. My goal is to help others bring their own personal style to life through custom gifts and pieces for their homes.
